Kara Tabian: Standard Poodle 15" - 17", 42 - 70 lbs life expectancy 12 - 16 years....Miniature Poodle 11" - 15", 26 - 30 lbs life expectancy 12 - 16 years....Toy Poodle 10" - 11", 13 - 15 lbs life expectancy 12 - 16 years....
Queenie Ruthers: Toy Poodles are 10 inches at the withers. Sorry to say, I think you purchased you dog from a breeder that does not breed to the standard, especially since your pup is only 4 months old.
Matt Gerdeman: Hi, i don't know about size or weight limits in toy poodles, but check this site:AKC poodle standardsyou will go to the AKC website and look for the poodle standard:It will be 3 categories:Standard Poodles,Miniature Poodles ,Toy Poodles.
Nicolasa Henke: At only 4 months? Nope, that's not a toy poodle. By AKC standards, he would be disqualified as a toy because he's taller than 10 inches.*I! just looked at the AKC standards, and even a miniature must be under 15 inches. Considering he's already 13 inches..... you may have a standard poodle on your hands (anything 15 inches or over). Not a miniature nor a toy.http://www.akc.org/breeds/poodle/index.cfm...Show more
