Can I get financial aid for college?

Ardell Luy: ""Is it true that I lost my financial aid?""If that's what they told you, then you need to ask them for an explanation.

Venetta Coulbourne: if they are telling you to go to Uni... then it means you have exhausted the amount of credit hours for an associates degree ---- meaning you have attempted 150% of the credit hours required for an associates degree --- so you must have already attempted at least @ 90 creditsa bachelor's degree allows for @ up to 180 credit hoursbut the total maximum time you can use FAFSA generated funding is 12 semesters or 6 yearsit is possible, even if you transfer to Uni... that you will run out of funding before you complete your degreeIt is possible that you have also exhausted all state funding. I don't see how going out of state will do anything but work against youWhy not go talk with the closest public university --- both the admissions office & the financial aid office & let them tell you if you will be able to go to sch! ool there & use Fin Aideventually you will reach a point at the community college where you have "exceeded the number of credit hours allowed"... at one of our local community colleges that is @ 120 credit hours & if that happens, then you won't be continuing at that school...Show more

However, your previous years using financial aid still count towards that, and there is the chance that you will not have enough left through completing a degree....Show more
