Clark Lachowski: With my granddaughter, it's the Steelers. You should be able to find pinstripe wallpaper or boarders. Nowdays, it is also much easier to find sports themed things in "girly" colors. You are lucky with the Yankees, because the blue will easily blend with pink, pale blue, or yellow. If you are at all crafty, try making pillows with Yankee fabric (readily available) and a pretty trim or background. Keep the bedspread/coverlet a plain color and just add the baseball accessories. At 7, she will probably change her likes and dislikes pretty quickly.... don't spend too much on any one trend. Just enjoy them while they last!...Show more
Ginny Trickett: I am a Yankee fan as well. As a kid, I had posters of babe ruth and old time photos of the team. I had yankee banners and caps put around the room. I also had a Derek jeter picture ! in a frame, but mostly it was old school yankee stuff. The fact that I had all this around my room didn't make it less girly, because my furniture was pretty feminine. All my dressers were a matching white with a feminine design. Plus her toys anr appliances around the room will still make it clear that it is a little girls room. Even if it does look a little boyish, who cares? I loved my room. It was exactly what i wanted and thats all that mattered...Show more
