Buying another car during a stolen car claim ?

Lucrecia Laurito: Buying another car will not effect your claim. But it still could be a bad idea. It may take a long time for your insurance company to complete their investigation and if your making car payments on the car involved in the claim you still need to make those car payments until your claim is settled.And, you want to make sure the insurance company pays the claim before you buy another car. They probly will pay as long as there was no fraud or crime involved. I would wait until the insurance company pays your claim before buying another car....Show more
