IE a religious philosopher begins with a set of perceptions and concepts provided by her religions beliefs and traditional teachings. An agnostic or atheist philosopher begins with fewer and less defined perceptions and concepts all of which can be challenged and are not backed by an authoritative doctrine or tradition.
