Darrel Stele: In a 30 minute television instruct, you're turning out to be approximately 22 minutes of storyline. something is advertisements. The memories are compacted to in good condition the time allowed. a great number of information deleted and censored. that would not take place in books. You get information, no interruptions, no longer something is censored and books are written for a much better grade point than television. those are in basic terms the countless motives. there is 50 cases extra high quality in a e book than there is junk on television. that would not advise i do no longer watch it, I do, yet I study plenty too. I even have yet to study a e book that has been made right into a action picture and say the action picture grew to become into extra desirable. It on no account is....Show more
Norris Rosener: Books are nice to get your eyes out of an electrical screen and they are nice to distract you from probelms. They are also portable and can b! e carried around anywhere, but they are more expensive in the long term than televison. Television is good as it shows the news and current affairs and it has more diverse genres but there is alot of advertising and alot of what we see is trash and fake. I persnally like both.
Byron Fortmann: very briefly I'll explain it. I could be here all day discussing it. here's the breakdown:1) all genres of entertainment have pockets of trash in them that people enjoy; that's how all forms of entertainment work. 2) television is formulaic and predictable (with the exception of "reality" shows, which really now have become more and more formulaic). Very rarely does good television take the watcher into absolutely insane plots that challenge them.3) books leave way more to the imagination and can actually help improve your skills in imagining, problem solving, etc. 4) television shies away from controversial material due to both censorship issues and the threat of losing vi! ewers. Producers would rather tailor a show to an audience th! an find an audience tailored to the show. Books have much more freedom in discussing racy or taboo topics. make sense?...Show more
Danyell Rowback: For me, if you take Twilight (I'm sorry, that's all I can think of at the moment) it might be a terrible movie depending on the actors, but when you read a book, you can actually know the emotions that the characters feel. So if there is a book version AND a movie version, the book is almost always better because you can get more in depth.
Lucien Hellerman: I think the main advantage books have over TV is the lack of advertising. You could be watching a perfectly fine TV show/movie on TV, and then some horrible ads would start coming on...Trash books are not better than trash TV...like you said, it depends on what you're reading/watching.
