Antonette Shappy: Yes, I am. Are you proud that every word that comes out of McCainPalins mouth is a lie?
Libby Berkovitch: Actually, look at what the Clinton Administration did to the Community Reinvestment Act in 1995. One of the changes allowed FM&FM to only need 2.5% of capital to back their investments while other banks needed 10%. Once FM&FM took over half of the mortgage loans ($6 trillion), their risk increased. Nothing was done to stop the mortgage crisis even though Bush tried in 2001 and 2003 for the changes to be reversed and it was turned down. Then McCain tried for an intervention via regulation in 2006 and the Congress turned it down then too. The only things that happened from this is, one, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd became rich and, two, the American people got screwed....Show more

Otto Lingafelt: you're tilting at windmills. Check out your abysmal Congress and the fat cat mortgage companys and you will find the real problems.
Jimmie Doerfler: LOL!!!!!!!!! You are making me ROAR with laughter!!Are you serious?? REALL! Y?? Obama has not lied?Give me a break!
Mark Hovanes: Yes, but picking up trash isn't lucrative enough to pay the bills. Especially when you pay 2.00 a pound for apples, 4 dollars for a gallon of milk. We need well paying jobs for economic recovery.
Jimmie Doerfler: This is when you add 'jk' as the edit.
Russel Gajate: I'm sorry I can't think of 1 nice thing to say about Palin. But McCain was a war hero and I thought he was pretty damn funny at times.
Norris Rosener: Yes. Creating and producing innovation in the area could be the next technology wave.
Rachell Meese: I happen to really LIKE Palin. As for McCain, his concession speech actually shows what type of person he truly is. I am sadden that he did not show this side of himself during the campaigning, it would have done him a lot of good. Sorry, but they both are really decent people who only wanted the best for our Country, if you can't see that, that is your problem.
Lindsey Za! nardi: That's what they say but I bought reusable gocery bags and them crappy energy saving light bulbs and the economy is still in the tank. So much for that idea.
Foster Koopmann: I can!McCain- I think all of america got to know mccain more as a person than a polititian this campaign. Time and time he showed his compassion and good will throughout. Those that stood out were when he took the mic from that old lady at the town hall rally who said "i think he's an arab" and mccain proceeded and said "you are wrong...hes a decent american" ...also his comical and well-wishing side at the Al Smith Roast... his conceding speech the other day was moving and sincere also. Palin- while we all know now she needs more grooming for such high office, she showed the courage to take on a monumental task that few women would have stepped into them pumps. To come from small wasilla and be thrust into national spotlight and maintain the worldwind press yet still hold it together! ...and look damn good too. I can only commend her on such a brave unde! rtaking. God bless them both....Show more
Rena Pepe: Yes. Going green will stimulate the economy. One reason is because if we spend less money on all of these man made electronics we will save by using natural energy. One great example of that is the wind energy. Wind power creates more jobs, and it decreases the amount of money spent to power chemical and electrical plants. Also as you said solar energy. Obama did say that going green would stimulate the economy. I think he is right. In fact many companies are catching on. Also creating cars that run off of natural energy and more hybrid vehicles. I think using what we already have is an advantage because it cuts costs and it will provide more jobs rather than take them away....Show more

Lahoma Beadell: Well he seems to be an honest man. With politicians you see a lot of stretching the truth, fortunately for Obama and his supporters he hasnt done too much of that and has ran a positive campaign
Maritza Ebanks: Just another dumocrat myth like gobel warming.
Sibyl Siwik: McCain is my hero and I admire Palin. Palin was the first woman on the major stage that represented my values, and McCain has a lifetime of service I am grateful for. I voted for them and will live every day of the next four years with teh vision they had offered and handle my choices with them in mind.
Delphine Cajka: That's only because he's never given a straight answer to any questions..otherwise his house of cards would fall apart.
Inell Riesgo: bad lemming your not supposed to think independently the messiah will cure all
Devon Kalberer: Sure, it was ! one of the most negative and dishonest campaigns in American history, b! ut there must be ONE nice thing you can say about it.I'll get it started. McCain and Palin managed to keep their relationship platonic--and given the usual hypocrisy of "family values" candidates, that was quite an accomplishment.
Clemente Schoeck: That's funny. According to opensecrets.org, they all donated heavily to the democrats, almost 3-1 to republicans. And precisely what "regulations" are you talking about? Be a little less vague, vagueness is for tools.Oh wait! I think I know what "regulations" you are talking about! That was 1995! Not 2004! And it was the regulatory changes under the Community Reinvestment Act. That was Clinton's doing....Show more
Coleman Deliberato: No. Right now it is not cost efficient. Also, it would not be a one-for-one trade off in jobs. You create a million green jobs, but 7 million lose their non-green jobs. It just isn't ready yet.
Kellie Waycott: Are you referring to the one about having no association with Acorn? ! Or the one about not being aware of his Reverend being a racist. Or no,no it must be the one about not starting up his Political career in Ayers living room..We know you can't be that blind.
Maria Devenney: I'm a very left independent black dude that voted for Obama. Think that the thing that really killed McCain was his Party ( ie being connected to Bush Doctrine ) not him personally or Sarah Palin. I think that McCain is a very decent man who honestly had the best interest of America at heart. I think Palin is a interesting lady who will definitely be back in the political limelight. I think it is very unfair that people are blaming her for the lost. I think that the fact so many people voted for Obama was based on their desire for aggressive change. McCain's platform was seen as to easily related to the current administration which created an uphill battle for him. They are both good and honorable people. ...Show more

Majorie Chester: I think McCain is a respectable man and was a fair candidate, he just is not what our country needs at this moment. I also think that his speech was very graceful and honorable. But he lost a lot of credibility in my eyes when he chose Sarah Palin to be his running vp. I honestly think she is a joke! And I dont like to be mean, I just could never take her seriously and thought she was absolutely inappropriate for the position she was running for.
Verena Koop: How do you know it was platonic? You been peeking in windows? It was a shame really. JM is a war hero and the GOP stuck him with a person who absolutely killed his chance of winning. ! It wasn't all caribou barbie's fault, but she hurt him more than helped him. The exit polls proved that.Something nice about the campaign? Patrick Bitsui: Some might. If enough of the good ones produce enough value (actual gain, not just feel-good while reducing efficiency) to more than compensate for the feel-good losers it can.So far most of the concepts are losers. They produce too little and often expend more energy elsewhere while saving less than that here; or they cost too much in other types of expense to compensate for any gains.Watch out for things, or people, that just look, sound and feel good. Dewey Heersink: Every politician lies.. Maybe not as much as Mccain and Palin have though... Obama does seem on higher ground right now... Much higher...
Dick Ovdenk: This is actually a common fallacy. The problem with investing to stimulate the economy is that investment has to come out of some other part of the economy. If you pay somebody to pick up trash, then somebody else doesn't get paid for some other job.
Burt Cheevers: Wrong. Clinton made and supported the changes. Many of the changes were done without the approval of congress. And Obama supported the changes while he worked with ACORN.It is documented by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission)Clinton's changes:"Freddie Mac, one of the primary government-sponsored enterprises involved in the purchase of mortgages, recently announced plans to enter the secon! dary market in subprime loans by purchasing significant numbers of "A minus" subprime mortgages by 1998 and the higher-risk "B and C" loans by 1999.(20) "Clinton softened rules that protected banks from forclosures."On June 6, 1996, President Clinton announced that he had directed FHA to reduce the up-front mortgage insurance premium (UFMIP) for first-time homebuyers who receive housing counseling"http://www.fha.gov/reference/ml1996/96-48ml.ddocClinton also picked his subordinates that made it happen. http://financialservices.house.gov/banking/41097ba......Show more
Chris Rosenkranz: Innovations in "green technology" are slow because the public has not demanded them. As long as the public is content to the "norm" green living will not be cost efficient and therefore unsuccessful. If we want green choices we have to ask for them. Margy Sandquist: How selective we are when protecting your own. The Dems tried to use the financial institutions like a welfare program by coercing banks to lend money to high-risk individuals who were not credit-worthy. Federal examiners were used as the hammer to clobber banks not doing the bidding of the bleeding hearts in Congress (say hello to Barney Frank and friends). Congress fanned the flames of this debacle and poured gas on the flames. Now, they appear to be blameless, unless people have a clue and know the truth. These are the same idiots currently complaining the loudest because the current bill does not protect the irresponsible people who benefited from the loosened credit standards "encouraged" by, primarily, Dems in Congress.
