Corporations in Civ 4?

Mining Inc for example will give bonus hammers to any city it is present in, but to get that bonus you need metals. So for example, if you have access to one source of iron and that's it, Mining Inc is going to do very little for you. If however you have access to several sources of Copper and Iron then Mining Inc can turn your production cities superpowered by adding lots more hammers, which are in turn multiplied by your forges, factories and civics such as Organized Religion.Sid's Sushi Co gives cities additional food, allowing them to grow way past size 20 which means you can run tons of specialists giving a significant boost to research and Great Person generation. However, it requires seafood (fish, clams, rice). So if you're playing on a Pangaea map and have no seafood! then its benefits will be minimal. However if you're playing on a map where you have multiple sources of clams, rice and fish then this food boost can be enormous!Aluminium Company generates aluminium. If you don't have aluminium then this is a good way to get hold of some and go for that Space victory, not to mention using it to build tanks. Of course, if you have aluminium then its useless to you.As for how to spread. Well for a start, you need to found the corporation using a great person of the correct type (and knowing the correct technology). The best city to found a corporation in is your Wall Street city as this city should be generating more than enough cash to compensate for this loss. After that go start spreading to any cities that can benefit, or even all of them if your empire can support it.
